Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz thinly sliced Genoa or hard salami
  • Small heart-shaped cookie cutters
  • 5 oz brie cheese
  • 5 oz sharp cheddar cheese, cubed
  • 4 oz goat cheese (crumbled or log)
  • 810 mini mozzarella balls
  • Assorted crackers (multigrain, water crackers, or gluten-free)
  • Thinly sliced baguette (optional, lightly toasted)
  • 1 cup strawberries, sliced in half
  • 1 cup red grapes
  • 1/2 cup raspberries
  • 1/4 cup honey or fruit preserves
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate squares or chocolate-covered almonds (optional)
  • 1/4 cup roasted almonds or mixed nuts
  • Fresh rosemary sprigs
  • Edible flowers (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the heart-shaped salami: Fold each slice of salami in half and press a small heart-shaped cookie cutter through the center, or use clean scissors to trim into a heart shape. Repeat with all slices and set aside.
  2. Slice and cube cheeses: Slice brie into wedges or leave whole, cube cheddar, crumble or slice goat cheese, and drain mozzarella balls.
  3. Wash and prep fruits: Rinse strawberries, grapes, and raspberries. Pat dry and slice strawberries in half.
  4. Arrange the board: Place cheeses in three corners of the board. Layer heart-shaped salami in the center or create a heart-shaped ring around the brie. Fan out crackers and baguette slices around cheeses. Add fruit in clusters. Fill small bowls with honey, preserves, nuts, and chocolates. Scatter almonds and chocolate pieces. Garnish with rosemary and edible flowers.
  5. Final touches: Use tongs or toothpicks to neaten the arrangement. Fill empty spaces with extra fruit or nuts. Drizzle honey or preserves lightly over cheeses or in bowls. Serve immediately.

Notes

For gluten-free, use almond flour or rice crackers. For vegetarian, swap salami for roasted red pepper strips or cucumber rounds. Prep all ingredients first for stress-free assembly. Chill salami before shaping for best results. Serve at room temperature for optimal flavor. Leftovers keep 2-3 days refrigerated; crackers and bread are best fresh.
