  • 2 cups fresh strawberries (about 10 oz), hulled and sliced
  • 2 cups orange juice (pulp-free preferred)
  • 1 bottle (750ml) champagne, chilled (dry brut or extra dry)
  • 1/2 cup triple sec or orange liqueur
  • 1 cup lemon-lime soda or sparkling water, chilled
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice (optional)
  • Strawberry slices and orange slices, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Rinse and hull 2 cups of fresh strawberries. Slice them; set aside half for garnish and place the other half in a blender.
  2. In a blender or food processor, combine 1 cup sliced strawberries and 1 cup orange juice. Blend until smooth (about 30 seconds). For a chunkier punch, pulse just a few times.
  3. Pour the blended strawberry-orange mixture into a punch bowl or large pitcher. Add the remaining 1 cup orange juice, 1/2 cup triple sec, and 2 tablespoons lemon juice (if using). Stir gently to combine.
  4. If time allows, cover and refrigerate the base for at least 30 minutes to let flavors meld.
  5. Just before serving, slowly pour in the chilled champagne and 1 cup lemon-lime soda or sparkling water. Gently stir to combine, being careful not to overmix and lose bubbles.
  6. Add reserved sliced strawberries and orange slices for garnish. Optionally, add mint sprigs or edible flowers.
  7. Serve immediately in chilled champagne flutes or glasses, making sure each glass gets some fruit. For extra chill, use frozen strawberries or orange slices as ice cubes.

Notes

Chill all ingredients before assembling for maximum fizz. Add champagne and soda just before serving to keep bubbles fresh. For a non-alcoholic version, substitute champagne with sparkling white grape juice and triple sec with orange juice. Use frozen strawberries or orange slices as ice cubes to keep punch cold without dilution. Taste and adjust sweetness or tartness as needed.
