Spooky Ghost Oreo Truffles Recipe Perfect for Halloween

Spooky Ghost Oreo Truffles - featured image

Adorably spooky ghost-shaped Oreo truffles made with crushed Oreos, cream cheese, and white chocolate, perfect for Halloween parties or treats.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 36 Oreos (1 full package)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 12 oz white chocolate, melted
  • Mini chocolate chips for decoration
  • Optional: Edible markers or gel icing for additional decorations

Instructions

  1. Place the Oreos in a food processor and pulse until they turn into fine crumbs. Alternatively, place them in a zip-top bag and smash them with a rolling pin.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the Oreo crumbs with softened cream cheese. Mix until fully combined to form a thick dough-like consistency.
  3. Scoop about 1 tablespoon of the mixture and roll it into a ball. Place the balls onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Chill in the refrigerator for 20-30 minutes.
  4. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the white chocolate in 20-second intervals, stirring in between until smooth. Alternatively, use a double boiler for melting.
  5. Remove the chilled truffle balls from the fridge. Using a fork, dip each ball into the melted white chocolate, ensuring it’s fully coated. Place them back on the parchment-lined baking sheet.
  6. Before the chocolate sets, press two mini chocolate chips into each truffle to create ghost eyes. Use edible markers or gel icing to draw mouths if desired.
  7. Place the truffles in the fridge for at least 30 minutes or until the chocolate hardens. Serve chilled for the best texture.

Notes

[‘Make sure the cream cheese is softened for easier mixing.’, ‘Chill the truffle mixture before shaping to firm it up.’, ‘Work quickly with white chocolate as it sets fast.’, ‘Reheat white chocolate briefly if it starts to thicken while coating.’, ‘Get creative with decorations using edible glitter, sprinkles, or colored icing.’]
