A quick and easy recipe for tender lobster tails drizzled with rich garlic butter, perfect for a romantic dinner or special occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lobster tails (68 ounces / 170225 grams each), fresh or thawed frozen
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter (60 grams), melted
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice (15 ml), freshly squeezed
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, freshly ground, to taste
  • ¼ teaspoon paprika (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Using kitchen shears, cut down the top of the lobster shell lengthwise, stopping just before the tail fin. Gently pry the shell open and pull the lobster meat up, resting it on top of the shell.
  3. In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, but do not brown. Remove from heat.
  4. Stir in lemon juice, chopped parsley, salt, pepper, and paprika if using into the melted butter mixture.
  5. Brush the lobster meat generously with half of the garlic butter mixture. Reserve the rest for serving.
  6. Place the lobster tails on a baking sheet and roast for 12-15 minutes, or until the meat is opaque and slightly firm to the touch. Use an instant-read thermometer to ensure the internal temperature reaches 140°F (60°C).
  7. Remove from the oven and immediately brush with the remaining garlic butter. Let the lobster rest for a couple of minutes.
  8. Serve warm with lemon wedges on the side.

Notes

Do not overcook the lobster to avoid rubbery texture. Use fresh garlic for best flavor. Let lobster rest after cooking to redistribute juices. For dairy-free option, substitute butter with coconut oil or vegan butter.
