Perfect Baked Cranberry Brie Bites Recipe for Easy Holidays

Flaky puff pastry filled with creamy brie cheese, tangy cranberry sauce, and crunchy pecans, these bites are the perfect festive holiday appetizer.

  • 2 sheets puff pastry, thawed
  • 8 ounces brie cheese, cut into small squares
  • 1/2 cup cranberry sauce (homemade or store-bought)
  • 1/4 cup pecans, roughly chopped (optional)
  • Fresh rosemary sprigs for garnish (optional)
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C). Lightly grease a muffin tin or line it with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
  2. Roll out the thawed puff pastry sheets on a lightly floured surface until slightly thinner. Cut each sheet into 12 equal squares (you’ll have 24 squares in total).
  3. Press each puff pastry square into a muffin tin cavity, gently shaping the edges to form little cups.
  4. Cut the brie into small squares, about 1-inch each, and place one square in the center of each puff pastry cup.
  5. Add a dollop (about 1 teaspoon) of cranberry sauce on top of the brie.
  6. Sprinkle chopped pecans over the cranberry sauce, and add a small sprig of rosemary if desired.
  7. Brush the exposed edges of the puff pastry with beaten egg using a pastry brush.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and puffed up.
  9. Let the bites cool for 5 minutes in the muffin tin before carefully removing them. Serve warm and enjoy!
