A warm, gooey wheel of brie baked to perfection, drizzled with honey and topped with crunchy toasted pecans. This easy recipe is perfect for parties and cozy gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz (225 g) Brie cheese wheel
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1/3 cup (40 g) pecans, toasted
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme (optional)
  • Freshly cracked black pepper to taste
  • Crackers or sliced baguette for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Toast the pecans by spreading them evenly on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 5-7 minutes until fragrant and golden brown. Remove and let cool.
  3. Place the brie wheel in an oven-safe baking dish or small cast iron skillet.
  4. Grate 1 teaspoon of lemon zest over the top of the brie.
  5. Warm the honey slightly (about 15 seconds in the microwave or in a small pan) until runny, then drizzle evenly over the brie.
  6. Sprinkle the toasted pecans over the honey-drizzled brie. Add fresh thyme leaves if using, and finish with a pinch of freshly cracked black pepper.
  7. Bake in the oven for 12-15 minutes until the brie is soft and melty but not collapsed. It should look puffed and glossy on top.
  8. Serve immediately with crackers or sliced baguette.

Notes

Let brie sit at room temperature for 20 minutes before baking for even softening. Watch the oven closely to avoid overbaking or burning the honey. Toast pecans yourself for best flavor. Serve immediately for best texture. For dairy-free, use vegan brie and swap honey for agave or maple syrup. Gluten-free if served with gluten-free crackers or fruit.
