Tender, juicy chicken thighs coated in a golden, sticky honey garlic glaze with a perfect balance of sweet and savory flavors.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 46 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Fresh parsley, optional for garnish
  • Red pepper flakes, optional for spice
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a small mixing bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, and minced garlic. Set aside.
  2. Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels, then season both sides with salt and pepper.
  3. Place a large skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil. Once the oil is shimmering, add the chicken thighs, skin-side down.
  4. Cook the chicken for about 5-6 minutes on the skin side until golden and crispy. Flip the thighs and cook for another 4-5 minutes.
  5. Reduce the heat to medium-low and pour the prepared glaze over the chicken. Let the sauce simmer and thicken for 5-7 minutes, spooning it over the chicken occasionally.
  6. Check for doneness by ensuring the internal temperature reaches 165Β°F (74Β°C). Remove from heat.
  7. Add a knob of butter to the skillet and swirl it into the glaze. Sprinkle with fresh parsley and red pepper flakes if desired. Serve warm.

Notes

[‘Pat the chicken dry to ensure crispy skin.’, ‘Taste the glaze before adding it to the chicken and adjust sweetness or tanginess as needed.’, ‘Keep an eye on the heat when simmering the glaze to prevent burning.’, ‘You can substitute chicken breasts for thighs or use tamari for a gluten-free option.’]
