A quick and easy honey sriracha glazed salmon recipe perfect for weeknight dinners, featuring a sweet and spicy glaze that caramelizes beautifully on the salmon.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 skin-on salmon fillets (about 6 ounces / 170 grams each)
  • 3 tablespoons honey (raw or local preferred)
  • 2 tablespoons sriracha sauce (adjust to taste)
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce (low sodium recommended)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • Optional garnishes: thinly sliced green onions, sesame seeds, fresh cilantro

Instructions

  1. In a small mixing bowl, whisk together honey, sriracha, soy sauce, minced garlic, and fresh lime juice until fully combined. Set aside.
  2. Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture. Lightly season both sides with freshly ground black pepper.
  3. Heat a non-stick skillet or cast-iron pan over medium-high heat and add olive oil. Warm until shimmering but not smoking (about 1-2 minutes).
  4. Place the salmon fillets skin-side down in the hot pan. Press gently with a spatula for 10 seconds to avoid curling. Cook for 5-6 minutes without moving them until the skin is golden and crispy.
  5. Carefully flip the fillets over. Immediately spoon the honey sriracha glaze generously over the top of each fillet. Cook for another 3-4 minutes, spooning more glaze occasionally to build a sticky, caramelized coating. Cook until salmon reaches an internal temperature of 125°F (52°C) for medium doneness.
  6. Remove the salmon from the pan and let it rest for 2 minutes to allow juices to redistribute.
  7. Garnish with sliced green onions, sesame seeds, or cilantro if desired and serve hot.

Notes

If the glaze thickens too much during cooking, add a splash of water or lime juice to loosen it. Use a meat thermometer to ensure salmon is cooked to medium (125°F). For gluten-free, substitute soy sauce with tamari or coconut aminos. Baking option: bake at 400°F (200°C) for 12-15 minutes.
