Instructions

  1. Freeze the Bananas: Slice ripe bananas into 1/2-inch pieces and spread them out on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Freeze for at least 2 hours or overnight.
  2. Prepare the Chocolate: Chop the dark chocolate into small pieces. Using a double boiler or microwave, gently melt the chocolate with coconut oil until smooth. If microwaving, heat in 20-second intervals, stirring well each time.
  3. Dip the Strawberries: Holding each strawberry by the stem, dip it into the melted chocolate, coating about two-thirds of the berry. Let excess drip off and place on parchment-lined baking sheet. Repeat with all strawberries.
  4. Set the Chocolate: Place the dipped strawberries in the freezer for 15-20 minutes to let the chocolate harden.
  5. Make the Nice Cream: In a blender or food processor, combine frozen banana slices, almond milk, vanilla extract, and sea salt. Blend on high until creamy and smooth, about 3-5 minutes.
  6. Assemble the Bowl: Scoop the banana nice cream into bowls. Arrange the chocolate covered strawberries on top. Sprinkle with optional toppings if desired.
  7. Serve Immediately: Enjoy right away for best texture. Store leftovers in airtight containers in the freezer for up to 2 days; thaw 5-10 minutes before serving.
