Crispy Salmon Nuggets Recipe with Easy Garlic Dip

Succulent bites of tender salmon coated in a crunchy, golden exterior, paired with a creamy garlic dip that’s rich and tangy. Perfect for appetizers or quick dinners.

  • 2 salmon fillets, skin removed and cut into bite-sized cubes
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400Β°F (200Β°C). If frying, heat oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Set up your breading station: Place the flour in the first bowl, beaten eggs in the second, and a mixture of panko breadcrumbs, garlic powder, paprika, salt, pepper, and Parmesan cheese in the third.
  3. Pat the salmon cubes dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture.
  4. Coat each salmon cube in flour, then dip into the beaten eggs, and finally roll it in the breadcrumb mixture, ensuring it’s evenly coated.
  5. Place the nuggets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a wire rack for optimal crispiness. If frying, carefully place the nuggets in the hot oil.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the nuggets are golden and crispy. If frying, cook 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove and place on a paper towel-lined plate.
  7. While the nuggets are cooking, prepare the garlic dip. In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise, sour cream, minced garlic, lemon juice, parsley, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  8. Serve the crispy salmon nuggets with the garlic dip on the side. Enjoy!

Notes

For extra crispiness, flip the nuggets halfway through baking. Parmesan cheese adds a subtle nuttiness to the coating. Adjust garlic dip seasoning to taste.
