Golden, flaky pastry wrapped around gooey cheese and smoky ham, hugged tightly with crispy bacon—perfect for brunch, game day, or holiday parties.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 8 slices thinly sliced deli ham
  • 8 slices Swiss cheese (or cheddar, provolone, pepper jack)
  • 8 strips regular-cut bacon
  • Optional: garlic powder or dried parsley for seasoning

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  2. Unroll the crescent roll dough on a clean surface. If perforated, gently press the seams together to create one large rectangle.
  3. Arrange the ham slices evenly across the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
  4. Layer the cheese slices on top of the ham, ensuring an even distribution.
  5. Starting from one of the shorter ends, tightly roll the dough into a log. Pinch the seam to seal the roll.
  6. Use a sharp knife to slice the log into 8 equal pieces.
  7. Wrap a strip of bacon around each pinwheel, overlapping slightly, and secure the end with a toothpick.
  8. Place the pinwheels on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them out to allow for even cooking.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 20–25 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and the pastry is golden brown.
  10. Remove from the oven and let the pinwheels cool for a few minutes on a wire rack before serving.

Notes

Use cold crescent roll dough for easier handling. Regular-cut bacon crisps better than thick-cut. Avoid overstuffing to ensure easy rolling and slicing.
