Warm, buttery crescent rolls stuffed with creamy spinach and artichoke filling make for a flaky, cheesy appetizer that’s perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package crescent roll dough
  • 1 cup fresh spinach, chopped and lightly sautéed
  • 1 cup artichoke hearts, canned or jarred, drained and chopped
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil for sautéing

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add chopped spinach and cook for 2-3 minutes until wilted. Set aside to cool.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, shredded mozzarella, grated Parmesan, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Stir in the chopped artichoke hearts and cooled spinach until fully combined.
  4. Unroll the crescent dough and separate it into triangles. Place a spoonful of the spinach-artichoke mixture onto the wider end of each triangle.
  5. Starting at the wide end, roll each triangle into a crescent shape, tucking in the filling as you go. Place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown and flaky.
  7. Allow the rolls to cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

[‘Don’t overfill the crescent rolls to prevent bursting during baking.’, ‘Brush the tops of the rolls with melted butter and sprinkle with Parmesan for extra flavor.’, ‘Refrigerate the filling for 10 minutes if it seems too loose before assembling the rolls.’, ‘Use fresh spinach for a vibrant flavor, or thaw and drain frozen spinach thoroughly.’]
