A light and refreshing salad featuring crisp cucumber slices, creamy Caesar dressing, smoky bacon, and salty Parmesan cheese. Perfect for summer gatherings or quick weeknight side dishes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3–4 large English cucumbers, thinly sliced
  • 6–8 slices of bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1/2 cup shaved or grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup croutons (optional)
  • 1/2 cup Caesar dressing (homemade or store-bought)
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Cook the Bacon: Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the bacon until crispy, about 4–5 minutes per side. Remove and drain on paper towels. Once cooled, crumble into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Slice the Cucumbers: Using a sharp knife, thinly slice the cucumbers into rounds. Aim for about 1/8-inch thick slices for the perfect crunch.
  3. Prepare the Dressing: In a small bowl, mix the Caesar dressing with garlic powder, lemon juice, and freshly cracked black pepper. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
  4. Toss the Salad: In a large salad bowl, combine the cucumber slices, crumbled bacon, Parmesan cheese, and optional croutons.
  5. Add the Dressing: Pour the prepared dressing over the salad and gently toss until everything is evenly coated. Be careful not to overmix or the cucumbers may release too much water.
  6. Serve: Transfer to a serving platter or individual bowls and enjoy immediately!

Notes

[‘Choose fresh cucumbers for the best crunch and flavor.’, ‘Avoid overdressing the salad to prevent soggy cucumbers.’, ‘Use freshly shaved Parmesan for better texture and flavor.’, ‘Chill the salad for 10–15 minutes before serving for extra refreshment.’, ‘If making ahead, keep the dressing separate and toss before serving.’]
