This creamy cinnamon buttercream frosting is rich, velvety, and packed with warm, comforting flavors. Perfect for cakes, cupcakes, cookies, or even as a dip for fruit.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (230g) unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 cups (480g) powdered sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 23 tablespoons heavy cream (or milk)
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Start by ensuring your butter is softened to room temperature.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, beat 1 cup (230g) of unsalted butter on medium-high speed for about 2-3 minutes until smooth, creamy, and pale.
  3. Gradually add 4 cups (480g) of powdered sugar, 1 cup at a time, mixing on low speed to prevent a sugar cloud. Once incorporated, increase the speed to medium-high and beat until fluffy.
  4. Add 2 teaspoons of ground cinnamon and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Beat until combined.
  5. Slowly add 2-3 tablespoons of heavy cream (or milk) one tablespoon at a time, beating between each addition, until you reach your desired consistency.
  6. Add a pinch of salt and mix one last time to balance the flavors.

Notes

[‘Always use room temperature butter for a creamy texture.’, ‘Sift powdered sugar to avoid lumps.’, ‘Chill frosting for 15 minutes before piping intricate designs.’, ‘Customize the cinnamon level to your preference.’]
